Esther Verdieu
Biography
Esther Verdieu, hailing from Pompano Beach, FL, is thrilled to begin her journey as the Academic Dean for the Indy Summer Learning Labs. With seven years of experience in education, Esther brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching to her new role. She has taught kindergarten and first grade and served as a K-6 math interventionist. Currently, she is an EL (English Learner) teacher, further broadening her impact on students' lives.
A proud alumna of Florida A&M University, recognized as the #1 HBCU, Esther has always been committed to excellence in education. She has advanced her expertise through the Butler EPPSP program, is working towards her administration license, and will graduate this spring. Additionally, she holds a Master's Degree in Art Teaching from Marian University.
Esther's dedication extends beyond the classroom. She has been a part of the Haitian Association of Indiana, organizing backpack and coat drives to support her community. Proud of her Haitian heritage, Esther is passionate about making a positive impact through her educational and community service efforts.
This will be Esther's second year as an Academic Dean. Esther is excited to leverage her skills and experience to foster a supportive and enriching learning environment at the Indy Summer Learning Labs. Her commitment to education and community exemplifies her dedication to creating meaningful, lasting change.
