Academic Deans

Academic Deans play an integral role in facilitating and administrating their assigned cohort of ISLL sites. They ensure fidelity to the program by monitoring the learning conditions, data collection, accountability check-ins, and implementation of in-person instruction. Academic Deans work collaboratively with Site Leaders and supervising teachers to ensure that the instructional staff meets instruction expectations, fosters positive classroom culture, and provides differentiated support for students in their classroom. Additionally, the Academic Deans will collaborate closely with Site Directors, conducting accountability check-ins to ensure metrics are accurate and reconciliation deadlines are met.

Supervising Teachers

Supervising teachers will oversee all grade-level teachers and classroom assistants at a community-based ISLL site. They will collaborate with Academic Deans to ensure that students receive high-quality instructional support, all assessment scores are entered by classroom educators, and that data is collected to manage attendance at their ISLL site. They will also coordinate student materials for the site educators at their designated location. Additionally, in the event of a lead teacher’s absence, the Supervising Teacher will be responsible for stepping in to cover all instructional duties.

Licensed educators are qualified for this role. Applicants applying for the Supervising teacher role must provide a letter of recommendation. If you’re a department lead, instructional coach, or part of administrative staff, this is the perfect role for you! Compensation is paid for one training week and five program instruction weeks. Compensation for supervising teachers will be $55 an hour.

ELA and Math Teachers

ELA (English Language Arts) and Math Teachers will lead one grade level of at least 10 students within their certified content area. In some cases, a teacher may be assigned a split grade level within one content area (e.g., 4th/5th ELA or 4th/5th Math). Teachers will be provided lesson plans, materials, and assessments to support students in their grade level group. Licensed educators are qualified for this role.

Compensation is paid for the training week and program instruction weeks. Compensation for ELA and math teachers will be $50 an hour.

Classroom Assistants

Classroom Assistants will support multiple grade levels in both ELA and Math, working with small groups of students to provide tiered instruction based on their learning needs. College students studying education, retired educators, or individuals working in an instructional assistant role within a school qualify for this role. College students must submit a recommendation from a professor/director within their prospective program. Additionally, if a lead teacher is absent and a Supervising Teacher is unavailable, the classroom assistant will be responsible for covering all instructional duties at base pay.

Compensation is paid for the training week and program instruction weeks. Compensation for classroom assistants will be $25 an hour.
