Introduction to Sites

Hello! I am very excited about the possibilities of the Summer with Indy Summer Learning Labs. I previously worked with ISLL during its first year when I worked with Indianapolis Teaching Fellows and TNTP. I saw a great program then, and I have heard many great things since then, so it will continue to be a great experience. Next year, I will be entering my 9th year as a teacher. I have spent the past three years at KIPP Indy Legacy High School teaching Spanish I and leading the Student Council. As previously mentioned, I had also spent much time working with Indianapolis Teaching Fellows to support teachers transitioning into the profession. Through all of this work, I hope to connect with others, bringing forth my passion for teacher retention, the development of teachers new to the profession, student advocacy for culturally relevant curriculum and experiences situated within the school, and civic engagement. Outside of school, I enjoy playing video games, traveling, cooking and generally having a good time with good people!
